This Shipping and Delivery Policy ('Policy') sets out the timelines, processes, and responsibilities governing the dispatch and delivery of all Forty Eight orders. By placing an order, you acknowledge and accept this Policy in full.
1. Dispatch Timelines
1.1 All timelines stated below refer to working days. Working days are Monday through Saturday, exclusive of public holidays and scheduled studio closures.

1.2 Timelines commence from the date of order confirmation and successful payment receipt.
1.3 For Customised and Pre-Order items, the above timelines represent the period required for production and quality review before dispatch. They do not include in-transit time post-dispatch.
Please Note: All production timelines are good-faith estimates based on standard artisan capacity. Forty Eight will communicate proactively in the unlikely event of a delay due to artisan availability, material sourcing constraints, or unforeseen circumstances.
2. Delivery Timelines
2.1 Once dispatched, orders are typically delivered within 5–7 business days within India. Delivery to Tier 2, Tier 3, and remote locations may take 7–10 business days.
2.2 Upon dispatch, you will receive a shipment confirmation along with a tracking number and the name of the logistics partner.
2.3 International Shipping: At present, Forty Eight ships exclusively within India. Any enquiries regarding international shipping may be directed to us at support@fortyeight.co.in, and we will assess feasibility on a case-by-case basis.
3. Logistics Partners & Third-Party Liability
3.1 Forty Eight engages reputable third-party courier and logistics partners for the shipment of all orders. While we take great care in selecting our logistics partners and packaging our goods securely, we are not liable for delays, losses, or damages caused by third-party logistics providers once the shipment has left our premises.
3.2 In the event of a lost shipment, Forty Eight will initiate an investigation with the logistics partner on your behalf. If the shipment is confirmed lost, we will offer a replacement or refund at our discretion.
3.3 Force Majeure: Forty Eight shall not be held liable for delivery delays arising from events beyond our reasonable control, including natural disasters, floods, strikes, civil unrest, government-imposed restrictions, or pandemics.
4. Packaging
4.1 All Forty Eight products are packaged with care, using protective materials appropriate to the fragility and dimensions of each product category.
4.2 Resin Art and Dhokra Art, being fragile or intricate items, are packed with additional protective layering including bubble wrap, foam inserts, and rigid outer cartons.
5. Unboxing Video Requirement (Mandatory for Claims)
5.1 To protect your investment and to enable us to process any damage claims with our logistics partners, we require an unboxing video for all orders containing fragile items, specifically: all Resin Art products, all Dhokra Art products, and any Candles with glass bases.
5.2 The unboxing video must be a single, continuous, unedited recording commencing from the moment you begin opening the outer packaging seal, through to the full reveal of the product.
5.3 Damage claims submitted without a valid unboxing video, as described above, cannot be entertained. This requirement is not intended to cause inconvenience but is necessary to substantiate claims with logistics partners and insurers.
Best Practice: We recommend recording your unboxing video on your mobile phone in a well-lit area, ensuring the outer packaging, tape, and all layers of protective material are clearly visible throughout.
